“Welcome to my world, where elegance unfolds with the rhythm of nature, and each wine invites you on a journey that is both oenologicaland mechanical journey.”

Nicolas RAINON

From coal to Chardonnay,

from dusty roads to Grand Cru plots—a story of heritage and character.

I was born in Verzy, a village classified as Grand Cru at the heart of the Champagne vineyards, into a family where viticulture is far more than a profession—it is a way of life. My grandfather Roger began his working life as a coal and later a fuel deliveryman. Yet it was the land that called to him, the land he admired with respect and dreamed of owning.

Through patience and hard work, he purchased his first vineyard plots whenever his savings allowed. Every row he planted, every vine he tended, carried the love of a man for his terroir.

Our terroir shapes our wines as time once sculpted car bodies:

with patience, character, and elegance.
This deep attachment to nature was cultivated by my parents before being passed on to me. Today, it is my turn to care for these vineyards, tending them with passion and rigor, listening to their needs and respecting their rhythm. Here, the vines are not forced—they express themselves freely, yielding grapes that carry the taste of chalk, the sunlight of the slopes, the finesse of clay-limestone soils, and the maturity shaped by their long history.

Each cuvée we craft faithfully reflects the character of the terroir from which it comes. Vinification is carried out with respect for nature and the aromas it offers, always with the intention of letting the land speak and guiding the wine rather than dominating it. Beyond technique, it is emotion I wish to convey.

From terroir to asphalt,

elegance as heritage.
My passion for vintage automobiles follows the same spirit. These mechanics from another era, each with their own temperament and story, remind me of our wines: some spirited, others delicate, sometimes capricious, yet always sincere.

I have therefore chosen to pair each cuvée with a vehicle that mirrors its personality—a cross-portrait between the character of a wine and that of a car. A singular and elegant way to celebrate the individuality of each Champagne and to weave a connection between two worlds where passion, time, and authenticity are essential.
